The story began in November 2001, when Lasse played few songs he had made during past years to his friend Illu.The coolest guy in guitars he knew. They started to grow up ideas and plans of a band which looks dangerous and cool, dresses up in black and uses beautiful melodies, dark and mellow sounds in their songs. No distorted loud guitars...lot?s of echoes and keyboard sounds instead. The band with songs of love and decadence (it?s easy to write about things you?re in with). Deadbabes was formed.

After few months rehearsing and very first gig, Lasse, Illu and bass player Juha found that they had to start looking for new drummer and keyboard player, because the original ones were too much into 80?s hard rock, so it was impossible to create this kind of music with them. Fortunately they found Jaani. He was really busy with his other bands at the time, but after one or two rehearsals he decided to concentrate in Deadbabes. He also introduced the band to Karl who eagerly joined in as a new keyboard player. And so the Deadbabes were ready to continue their musical journey in a world of love and darkness they created in their songs. And the journey goes on...

Also know this: Before Deadbabes all of the guys have quite long history with other bands. There?s so many of them that it?s no use to make specific list. Let?s just say that there?s small and little bigger ones, even top-10 stuff in finnish album chart.

The name "Deadbabes" is taken from Alice Cooper?s song. As a matter of fact, before forming of Deadbabes the original line up played few Alice Cooper tribute shows.
