Regis University Online Undergraduate Degrees

Communication studies prepares students for a variety of career opportunities including organizational leadership, human resources, and public relations. Students develop skills for doing public presentations, leading group meetings, and creating written documents. Courses in interpersonal and organizational communication, strategic leadership, intercultural communication, negotiation, conflict management, and public relations campaigns prepare students for the challenges of management in both profit and non profit organizations. Courses involve both theory and practice so that students develop knowledge about communication and skills for communicating effectively. Some courses provide service opportunities where students are able to use their skills to improve their communities. In addition, students may develop areas of emphasis for which they receive certificates including conflict management, human resources, criminal justice, public relations, practical psychology, or high performance management. The Communication major helps students to improve their relationship skills in both personal and professional lives as well as prepare them for advancements in their careers.
